Mr. Wardi in Mojokerto, East Java

One of the sellers who picks up his fortune from selling chicken noodles is Mr Wardi, who has been selling chicken noodles since 2000. For 19 years, the man who was born in Karanganyar – Central Java migrated to Surabaya only to sell chicken noodles. Now, this 39-year-old man is enjoying the sustenance of his business.

“At the beginning of the opening, I tried to prepare 70-100 portions. It turned out that at 1 pm it was sold out. The next day, I tried to prepare 120 servings, at 1 pm it has also sold out. Even though there were several other traders around, they were not my competitors. Evidently, no matter what portion I provide, it always sold out within hours. Currently, I am always ready for 400-500 servings per day,” Mr Wardi continued.

In 2011, Mr Wardi’s wish to have assets finally materialized. He purchased a plot of land to build a shop. Mr Wardi then met with Sahabat UKM in 2016 to apply for a funding capital loan, which would be used to build a shop on the plot of land he had purchased. This 4-storey shop house is currently used for a noodle-making place and a warehouse for storing wheat flour.

Talking about the turnover achieved by Mr Wardi, currently he managed to sell 2,000 portions per day, from six stalls. This means if each portion was sold at a price of Rp8,000, so it is certain that Mr Wardi’s income from selling chicken noodles reaches hundreds of millions per month.
